Installations by House of Sorcery for skyglass apartments

SEATTLE, wa | January 2024,

The building that once stood at Dexter and Thomas was home to a mural by local artist, Ten Hun. When the building was demolished, the development team thought this piece of work should be saved and reimaginged for the new building.

Focusing on color and composition, the design shuffles the mural panels into a dimensional collage, finding new movement in the original motif.

The collaged nature of this piece of artwork required, above all else, a clear construction plan. A three panel system hides all seams, and organizes the individual pieces into easily nested jigsaw pieces.
